Dear Coach,
I received the new e-book, “Breakthrough.” As a fellow certified Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach (SCC), do you have any suggestions regarding how I might use this book to generate more coaching clients?
Best,
Brian
Dear Brian,
Yes, I do. First, identify prospects, either people who might be open to having a coach or people such as HR professionals, who could be in position to recommend coaches for others.
Second, send the book to them electronically and provide a brief overview. Here’s an example.
Dear _______,
Attached is a new book from the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching organization.
It has two parts. (1) People who have been coached through this process share their stories. (2) Practical tips and ideas regarding the coaching process and improving organization culture and communication.
Feel free to share this new book with anyone you think appropriate. As a certified Stakeholder Centered Coach, I am happy to help any way I can.
Best regards,
___________,
Third, follow up! Strive for a real-time conversation where you can gauge the interest of the other person and ask if they know anyone who might benefit from the book and possibly from SCC coaching. Here’s a suggested follow-up message:
Hi _________,
I hope you’ve had an opportunity to review the new coaching book.
I’d love to get your take on it.
What’s a good day/time to chat?
Best,
_______________
Good luck with your business development!
Best regards,
Jathan
